​Join us for the 14th Annual UC Davis Graduate Student Symposium in Ecology!

We are honored to announce that Dr. Christopher Schell will be giving the keynote address, “Wealth, race, and wildlife: The impacts of structural inequality on urban wildlife” at 1-2 pm on Friday, February 5. Please use the Zoom link to attend Dr. Schell’s keynote.

Folks from ALL departments as well as prospective students are invited to attend, and all graduate students are invited to present their research in any area of ecology. The GSSE is a unique and valuable forum for sharing ideas across programs, departments, and labs, and for fostering new connections and collaborations. It is also a great opportunity for graduate students to get comfortable presenting to a broader ecological audience. The GSSE is a free event!

Virtual format: The 2021 Symposium will be the first entirely virtual symposium in light of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. We know that our GGE community is as strong, curious and supportive as ever during this crisis time, and we look forward to sharing the exceptional scientific efforts and creative endeavors to which we have all been dedicated while socially distanced. Eco-Art and Photo Contest: Ecologically-inspired artwork from student artists available to view here! Prizes will be awarded to the attendee favorites.

Prizes will also be awarded by audience vote to favorite research presentation and poster, and raffle prizes for attendees!
